When things get bad, be like the Irish

So if this economic issue doesn't blow over pretty soon, which I highly doubt it will in light of the current view of things, yours truly may not be making her all so anticipated trip to the UK this spring. Why you may ask? or not if you don't care.... well lets put it this way, I would rather go to graduate school than this vacation, not that either will really help me at this point seeing as getting a job in a few years rather than right now my be much harder. So in order to be able to pay for my graduate education I may just have to not go on my fabulously desired excursion, which by the way is a point that I will heart broken over for probably a very long time in fact I may be disappointed by it until I actually leave for grad school, depending on if and where I get in.

In other news my sister is off to New York for a few days but not for a vacation for work and if you read her blog you will understand why that is not such a totally awesome thing. I am still in SD where it has been ridiculously hot for the past couple of days and even though it rained on Monday it was still hotter than the top part of hell out there. So perhaps I should be more specific the next time that I wish of rain. I am also currently looking for a job, still :0) but am sure that I will find something eventually, and hopefully soon. I took today off from the museum to do just that and to finish up some things that I need to do for my grad school applications so that every thing is lined up and filled out so I can simply hit the submit button and then make sure that they know my references and transcripts are coming separately. Unfortunately for some schools, aka UCLA, I have a god awful amount of work left to do that I really need the help of the conservator I work under to finish, if she ever decides to come back from her honeymoon/vacation to India.

I hope that everyone has a completely fabulous Wednesday and that they do not get too stressed out about the economic issues of not only our country but most of the western world's.
