'Copy That'

It will take me a bit before I can get the film I made up, due to some copyrighting information that needs to be put on the film before posting it online for all to see. I can say, however, that it was a huge success!! Our professor, who initially had great apprehensions about the idea we presented, was very enthusiastic about how well it had turned out in the end. She even said, "well you know how I felt about your idea, but you guys pulled it off! You actually pulled it off! I am very impressed!" So needless to say that made my week. Today, we celebrated one of our groups birthdays by taking a "photo walk" of Bristol led by the birthday boy himself. Below are some of the pictures that I took during the journey.
I am off to Exmoor again tomorrow. If you remember, this is where we started our year out by having a week long trip with our entire MA group, approx. 30 of us, and our professors. Well the MAASM, my group, felt that we needed sometime outside the class room to enjoy archaeology and the outdoors and to learn how to use some new industry level cameras in the field. So we are traveling back to favorite place from the semester. It really is only about an hours drive away, so not terribly far. We are going to spend all day there and then Tuesday we are off to London to visit the British Library with our prof and programme director Angela. It will be great fun both days.
I am starting work on my fourth film soon. My team mate and I haven't yet decided on what we are going to do but when we know then you will know. Hope that everyone is enjoying themselves. By the way today, Sunday, March 14th, is Mothers day here in the UK. So from the UK, Happy Mothers Day!!!

this one is my favorite of the pictures I took today.

By Hand

Here are the birthday cards and present that I said I would post pictures of. They were well received =0)

Poem for this one:
To see the unseen
on the road unknown,
To follow your feet
unbothered by being alone.
To stand on a cliff
to see the world ahead,
Not to fall a drift
in the chasm instead.
These are the ways of wise men,
these are the things that they know.

The Living Place

I thought I would update the photos of my room since it has been nearly 6 months. Obviously, it looks different, more...lived in. I did clean it today, though you may not be able to tell =) (The originals are posted in the September 19th 2009 Blog, titled "New Beginnings")

Art-offical

I thought that I would show off some of the art work that I, personally, have been creating since I got to England. I have given all of these away as presents so no originals but, eh... you might see them in a museum some day ;0) (There are more to come, they just haven't been delivered yet so I don't want to chance ruining the surprise).

Standing with Stones

We went on a field trip to Stanton Drew, a stone circle site about 20 minutes outside of Bristol, on Tuesday for the second half of our Mediatized Archaeology lecture. Here are some of the photo's that I took while there with the exception of the first photograph.

(This photo was taken by my friend Karen Wood)

Time Well Spent

I haven't been up to a whole lot of late, just going to the pub quite a bit, watching Rugby, spending time with my friends and going to class. In this respect there isn't too much to report on, so I have decided to just post up some pictures that I have taken around Bristol. I hope that you enjoy them.
