So here I something to think about for the week, just to keep you on your toes and get the gears in your old brain box working at a reasonable pace: During the women's rights movement our ladies fought for the basic rights that were given to all men.Today we are able to do awesome things like vote, have nearly equal jobs and, though not a undesirable occupation, but we can do more than stay at home and raise children without it being something of a scandal. Here is my only concession to this whole awesome deal that our great great grandmothers fought for; when we gained all these other rights it seems that the men decided that in order for us to be truly equal, we "women folk" had to forgo the activity of being courted and be made to settle with what we have now, men who want us to pursue them, the death of chivalry. I am sorry if some of you do not agree, but I believe that we ladies dropped the ball on this one. Though truth to be told, it is but a small sacrifice in the greater scheme of things and I would not wish to give up any of the other freedoms that were gained from being "liberated." That being said, this equality in dating scene I could still do without.
On a lighter note and one less likely to be controversial, or perhaps it will be who knows, below is a collection of entertaining tequila commercials.
P.S. my grad school application process is coming closer to conclusion. I have begun lining up my references, which was quite the nerve racking experience. I got so nervous yesterday that I broke out in hives before my first meeting with a prof. I had them for about another hour....kind of embarrassing. How well all in the name of obtaining a master's degree.
